This course consists of 4 game sessions aimed at developing key skills:
1. Cooperation and collaboration in a team.
2. Argumentation and defense of your position.
3. Critical thinking.
4. Implementation of the overall final project.
Each meeting includes both theoretical and practical elements, reflection to analyze difficulties and successful strategies, as well as a final sharing, where the guys share their impressions and conclusions.
Meeting #1: What is communication and what does it consist of?
At the first meeting, the children will get to know each other and learn the basics of communication. They will learn what effective communication consists of: verbal and non-verbal aspects, feedback and their role in interaction.
The practical part includes exercises to develop teamwork and a rescue operation, where participants will try to apply the knowledge they have gained.
The meeting ends with a reflection session, where the children will discuss the difficulties they encountered and successful strategies. At the final sharing, everyone will share what they learned and what they liked the most.
Meeting #2: Argumentation and thesis – how to justify your position and convince?
At the second meeting, the children will study the basics of argumentation. They will learn how to formulate a thesis, select convincing arguments, and defend their position.
The practical part includes pair work, where participants will prepare and present their theses.
During the reflection, the guys will discuss what difficulties arose when defending their position, whether they changed their point of view and what helped them to be convincing. The final sharing will allow everyone to share their observations and impressions.
Meeting #3: Solution Search and Idea Generation Methods
The third meeting is dedicated to finding non-standard solutions. The children will get acquainted with brainstorming techniques and the “6 Thinking Hats” method.
In an interactive format, participants will work on relevant tasks, moving from one station to another, drawing, discussing and generating ideas.
During the reflection, participants will discuss how different approaches helped find solutions and what could be improved. At the final sharing, the guys will talk about the most interesting ideas and their experience of working together.
Meeting #4: Final Project
At the final meeting, the guys will combine all the acquired skills to create a final project. This could be a solution to a current problem, development of an application idea, or a product concept.
During the work, participants will apply techniques of communication, argumentation and idea generation.
Reflection will help discuss how team coherence and efficiency influenced the result, and the final sharing will become a platform for presenting final projects and exchanging impressions.
